Xülasə: Böyük Britaniyanın məşhur Oksford Uniersiteti 1995-ci ildən etibarən el­min müxtəlif sahələri üzrə çox qısa müqəddimələr qəbilindən olan nəşrlərə baş­la­mış­dır. Beynəlxalq elmi ictimaiyyətin ən müasir tələblərinə cavab verən bu layihə çər­çivəsində 2014-cü ildə tanınmış ABŞ alimi Timoti Raysın “Ethnomusicology.     A Very Short Introduction” adlı dolğun məzmunlu təlimat kitabçası da işıq üzü gör­­müş­­dür. Hazırki rəy-esse dəyərli elmi-metodik vəsaitin təbliği məqsədi ilə onun bü­tün fəsil və bölmələri haqqında geniş məlumat verir, müasir etno­mu­si­qi­şü­­nas­lı­ğın nə­həng və sirli dünyasından bir çox metod və yanaşmaları, anlayış və kon­­sept­ləri pe­şəkarlar, tələbələr, habelə qonşu elmlərin nümayəndələri ilə tanış edir.

  2. Tim Rice has spent his career thinking about the big picture of ethnomusicology. His reflections are both succinct and expansive, directly informed and gently optimistic. He looks back of where ethnomusicologists have been and consider where they might be headed. Rice has directly experienced deep disciplinary change and clearly, he welcomes more.
  3. Ethnomusicology is the study of why and how, human beings are musical.

Резюме: Знаменитый Оксфордский Университет Великобритании с 1995 го­да начал публикацию серии очень кратких введений, посвященных многим от­раслям современной науки. В настоящее время имеются сотни книг, пере­ве­ден­ных на десятки языков мира, одной из которых является научно-методическое по­собие крупного учёного из США, профессора Тимоти Райса “Ethnomusicology. A Very Short introduction” (2014). Предлагаемое читателям эссе-рецензия с целью оз­на­комления специалистов, студентов, а также представителей смежных наук с бо­гатым содержанием научно-методического пособия, раскрывает его основные ме­тоды и подходы, понятия концепции, изложенные в книге.

ON THE VALUABLE SCIENTIFIC AND METHODOLOGICAL INSTRUCTION

 

Summary: ‘Ethnomusicology. A Very Short Introduction’ (2014) by a renown shcolar of the field from US Timothy Rice is one of the stimulating headbooks initiated by the celebrated Great Britain’s Oxford University since the 1995. Many books of this series had been translated into a number of world’s languages and gained wide popularity. The given book is addressed to the schoolers and students in ethnomusicology, as well as to all those who are deeply interested in its history, theory and methodology. The present review-essay is aimed to acquainted Azerbaijani readers with its amazingly rich and update content, expressed in the nine chapters and their inner sections, which include so many innovatory ideas and considerations resulted from the recent investigations of the diversity of the music traditions all over the world.
